**Description**



Summary



+ Loading and unloading tractor trailers

+ Moving equipment and materials from staging area to job location

+ Competently operate loader using forks, bucket and stinger implements.

+ Competently operate Telehandler and Skid Steer to support project activities as well as snow removal.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities



+ Knowledge of Heavy Construction and characteristics of all equipment functions and operations

+ Knowledge of proper equipment use conductive to use and assignment

+ Knowledge of Hazardous Materials, Safety Regulations and industry practices related to equipment use and operation

+ Skilled in operation of heavy equipment proficiently and safely

+ Skilled in daily maintenance of equipment including repairs and daily inspections to identify possible equipment malfunctions

+ Ability to use time and equipment efficiently in order to complete tasks on time

+ Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment

+ Ability to handle stress and possess positive character in a difficult or challenging situation



**Qualifications**



Minimum Requirements



+ High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

+ Class A CDL preferred.

+ Driver's License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy.

+ Minimum five (5) years directly related experience as Heavy Equipment Operator.

The employee must regularly lift, move and /or carry up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. Steel toed boots required on the job.
