Health, Safety and Environmental Technician-Prudhoe Bay, Alaska
The HSE Technician supports the Wells and Fluids groups on night shift and has a hand in transforming tomorrow.

As a HSE Technician in Prudhoe Bay, AK, you'll have the chance to be responsible for all facets regarding health, safety, and environmental protection for the work groups. Working with other members of the team, you'll interface with client HSE and provide a reporting function back to the Jacobs HSE Manager as well as Train employees on a wide variety of corporate, client, and legal requirements in health, safety, and environmental topics. During your time with us, you will ensure day to day compliance with all regulatory requirements, client and internal procedures and policies. You will also help to co-ordinate waste disposal and respond to field incidents involving hazardous material releases, personnel injuries and illnesses, vehicle accidents, etc.; help to manage the scene, conduct investigations, and develop corrective actions. The minimum qualifications for this position are:

B.S. in Occupational Safety or related fields and a minimum of 1 year experience; or Associates degree in a technical field directly related to the position and minimum of 3 years progressive experience; or H.S. Diploma and a minimum of 7 years progressive experience. Strong preference given to graduates of applicable ABET accredited programs.

3-7 years experience

You should have, at a minimum, a CHST or OHST certification, or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of hiring, prefer CSP or CIH certification.

You will need knowledge of state/federal safety/health/environmental requirements and a clear understanding of industrial hygiene practices/procedures.

You need outstanding time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment.

You must be able to demonstrate effective communication skills, both orally and in writing, to ensure success in this position.

You should have a demonstrated customer service background.
